The historical market town of Swaffham is situated within The Brecks. The town has a bustling Saturday market and is the setting for the popular Kingdom TV series, starring Stephen Fry. In Swaffham you'll find lots of shops around the large Georgian market place, including supermarkets, chemists, bookshops and hair and beauty salons, as well as several banks. There's also a library and a Friday night cinema. In the centre of Swaffham is a Leisure Centre, where you can enjoy badminton, squash, table tennis, aerobics and an 18-station gym. We are an ideal base for tourists to explore the surrounding countryside, where you'll find lots of attractions and amenities. These include nature reserves, fishing lakes, forest walks on the Peddars way national hiking trail, golf courses and historic buildings. Not so far are The Holy shrines at Walsingham and the Queens Sandringham Estate. We're also ideally located for anybody attending the National Construction College at Bircham Newton. Swaffham has a wide variety of cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from. You'll find lots of charming country pubs in the surrounding villages too.
